We just cracked 210 eLearners in our region! Worldwide we’ve had more than 5,000.
Our first eLearning FAQs proved to be popular, so here is an updated version.
Does PADI accept any other online training programs?
No. The only online training program we accept is PADI eLearning – accept no substitutes.
Aquastrophics and onlinescubalessons.com have been written up in the Undersea Journal and on our Pros Site as unauthorized to offer PADI training. Unfortunately, consumers do not have access to this information. We encourage dive centers to add the PADI eLearning link to their websites to avoid confusion.
I have not received eLearner notification messages.
Try adding email@example.com to your email “safe list” (or equivalent).
Does eLearning really bring in new customers?
In a recent exit survey, 1 in 5 eLearners said they would never have completed a scuba course without eLearning. Reasons listed included: time, convenience, and not having a dive center nearby.
Will eLearning be offered in other languages?
Later this year we will offer eLearning in Japanese and Spanish.
Will other PADI courses be offered in the eLearning format?
With the popularity of the online Open Water class, it’s likely we’ll offer additional PADI courses in an online format.
Who’s the top eLearning store?
As of today, the US store with the highest number of eLearners is Going Under Dive Center in Maple Grove, MN. They’ve had 57 eLearners this year. Yes, you read that correctly, Minnesota.
In our region, Underwater Sports (WA) has the number one spot with 9 eLearners year to date. Bighorn Divers (MT) and Scuba Ted’s (UT) are tied for second place with 7 eLearners each.
