2013 Co-Op Marketing Funds

Free Money from PADI

Have you taken advantage of co-op dollars from PADI yet? PADI Resort and Retailers in PADI Americas can receive $500 – $750 from PADI for promotional activities to attract new divers… while supplies last.

PADI Americas will match 75 percent of your marketing campaign spend up to the maximum reimbursement amount:

  • $500 US for PADI Dive Centers and Resorts
  • $750 US for PADI Five Star Dive Centers and Resorts

To qualify: your promotional activity must target new divers and be a tactic you haven’t tried before. In other words, if you’ve been thinking about trying YouTube ads or putting a kick-ass graphic on your shop van now’s the time!

To receive reimbursement funds, complete the co-op form and submit it with proof of payment for your initiative. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis so don’t delay. This program launched in January and many stores have already submitted their applications.

Looking for ideas? Here are some successful tactics used by co-op participants in 2011 and 2012:

  • Facebook ads
  • YouTube ads
  • Google AdWords
  • Vehicle wraps
  • Television or radio commercials
  • Store signage (outward-facing)

IMPORTANT: you will need to provide an invoice prior to reimbursement. This invoice should be from a third-party company such as a local sign-maker, Google, a TV station, etc. Cost of doing business expenses such as pool rental or instructor pay does not qualify.

Visit the 2013 Marketing Co-op Fund page at the PADI Pros’ Site (login required) for full terms and conditions and to download the one page co-op application.
