Minimum Ages for PADI Certification Courses

Student divers as young as age ten now have access to PADI eLearning® and Touch products. Below is a list of courses that have digital products available and the minimum ages.

10 Years and older
Open Water
Digital Underwater Photo
Equipment Specialist
Dive Theory

12 Years and older
Advanced Open Water
Rescue Diver
Enriched Air Diver

18 Years and older
IDC (Instructor Development Course)

    • Thanks, Kevin. We didn’t list out all the courses because this post was only meant to give a run down of the minimum ages for courses with digital materials. For reference: a summary of age requirements can be found on pages 32-38 of the 2016 instructor manual.
